Goudfontein can organize the services of a Professional Hunter (PH) who will look after all the clients needs. The professional hunter is registered with the Professional Hunters Association of South Africa (PHASA) and will operate according to the PHASA Code of Conduct.

The professional hunter has many years of hunting experience and knows animal behaviour and flora very well. He will assist the hunter, whether local or from overseas, with necessary documentation for rifle and hunting permits and will arrange for the field preparation of trophies, the shipping to the taxidermist and all required documentation for the export of the trophies.

If you are planning to fly in, the professional hunter will arrange pick-up at Port Elizabeth Airport where several flights per day arrive from all major centres in South Africa. You can book your flights at any travel agent or directly at flysaa.com, saexpress.co.za or kulula.com.

If the services of the professional hunter are not required then the Goudfontein farm manager will be available to take the hunters to the field, pick up the carcasses and will also arrange for servicing the chalet on Goudfontein.

There are also several field guides available who will go stalking with you in the field, do the necessary slaughtering in the field and carry the carcasses to the nearest road, if access with a vehicle is difficult. These guides know the area and the game very well and will also assit the hunter carrying a second rifle, binoculars or other personal belongings.
